In November 2025, the annual Game IP Ecosystem Conference, hosted by the China Audio-video and Digital Publishing Association, took center stage at Suzhou Industrial Park. FriendTimes was invited to attend and actively participated in the Game IP International Cooperation Salon, working with global industry partners to explore fresh strategies for game IP internationalization.

This year's conference, themed “Innovate the Future, Connect the World”, brought together leading enterprises and renowned experts in the global game IP industry, and also cross-sector representatives. The event focused on unlocking the full potential of IP value, fostering strategic resource sharing, and advancing the sustainable growth of the global IP ecosystem.
Suzhou Industrial Park, the host venue of the conference, is currently drafting the Three-Year Action Plan for High-Quality Development of the Gaming and Animation Industry in Suzhou Industrial Park (2026-2028). This forward-looking top-level design sets key directions: enhancing original innovation capabilities, building systematic production platforms, and improving full-chain operation mechanisms. The plan aims to cultivate a group of R&D and tech-driven enterprises, attract well-known domestic and international publishing platforms, and encourages the development of cross-media, cross-platform, and cross-sector game distribution solutions. Additionally, substantial financial support will be provided to enterprises in areas including original game R&D and operation, game exports, brand building, and participation in exhibitions and exchanges.
At the opening ceremony, Vice President of FriendTimes participated in the signing and establishment ceremony for the "International Gaming and Animation IP Collaboration Service Center" alongside representatives from authoritative industry associations and key enterprises. This center is designed to function as an official platform for connecting domestic and international IP resources, providing comprehensive support, including policy guidance, resource matching, and professional services, for the internationalization of Chinese game IPs, thereby facilitating the global expansion of high-quality cultural content.
At the dedicated Game IP International Cooperation Salon of the conference, the Brand Director of FriendTimes engaged in targeted meetings with over twenty Chinese and international companies, including Japan's Game8, SNK Corporation, and Hong Kong's Sologame. The discussions centered on key areas such as IP licensing partnerships, cross-regional technology research and development, and global market expansion. Using IP as a bridge, the participants explored possibilities to break down industry barriers and actively discussed potential collaborations across multiple sectors, including film and television, cultural innovation, and cultural tourism.
As a recognized National Key Cultural Export Enterprise, FriendTimes has been focusing on integrating excellent traditional Chinese culture with technological innovation in recent years. The company has established a comprehensive industrial chain encompassing game research and development, global publishing, and IP derivative development. Several of its core IPs, including Fate of the Empress, Promise of Lingyun, and A Story of Lala’s: Rising Star, have successfully entered markets across multiple global regions. Particularly noteworthy is the Twist of the Fate, which has gained international attention through its creative representation of Jiangnan garden aesthetics and traditional opera culture. The game has brought cultural values to global audiences in ways that resonate with younger generations. A Story of Lala’s: Rising Star launched in South Korea in May 2025 and quickly attracted a large player base, entering the top 30 of the country's iOS game revenue charts.
A successful game IP creates not only commercial value but also serves as a vehicle for cultural inheritance. Through the "bridge" of gaming, Jiangnan culture and traditional aesthetics are shared with global audiences, enabling deeper cultural exchange. The company's participation in the 2025 Game IP Ecosystem Conference highlights the recognition of its achievements in IP internationalization and marks its entry into a new phase of development within the global IP ecosystem, paving the way for further innovation and collaboration.

Looking ahead, FriendTimes will continue to deepen its collaboration with global industry partners, exploring greater possibilities in areas such as cross-sector IP development and the dissemination of cultural value. This effort aims to provide significant momentum for the strategic upgrade of the Chinese game industry, shifting from a model of "product export" to one of "IP export".
